Beach Party?
I want to have a Company beach party.

It doesn't need to be your typical Laguna Beach after hours beach party.

I want a nice sand-in-your-toes, beach-ball-throwing, potluck-snacking fun afternoon on la playa.

The question is, who wants to come and when?

Song Help
Hopefully, this will be the last you'll hear from me regarding this subject. But you never know. I've whiddled down my choices to a little more than 5 songs. I can only do 2 or 3.

1. "Happily Ever After" from Once Upon a Mattress
2. "The Last Midnight" from Into the Woods
3. "Louder than Words" from tick, tick... boom
4. "I Can Do Better Than That" from The Last Five Years
5. "Somebody" from Amour

... and I'm def forgetting 1 or 2. Or 3.

What if I did "All For You" from Seuss?

Does anyone have suggestions on the scores of City of Angels or Ragtime? I know everyone has done at least one of these shows, so I shouldn't have to pry too much.

Musical Help #2
So I talked this over with a couple of people, and I have a few more questions. Does anyone know the scores to the following and know if there are any songs that would suit me?

City of Angels
A Man of No Importance
Nine
Kiss of the Spiderwoman
Bells are Ringing
Ragtime

I'm also considering a couple of songs as well.

"Happily Ever After" from Once Upon a Mattress (although I'm concerned it won't be enough of a challenge for me)
"I Can Do Better than That" from L5Y (although I'm concerned it's too overdone)
"Louder than Words" from tick tick boom (although I'm concerned that it may go too high towards the end)
"A Call from the Vatican" from Nine (although I'm concerned that it may go too high towards the end)

GAH!!! HELP! PLEASE!

Music Help and All that Jazz...
Ok, SERIOUS problem. I've been looking for music for my Song as Theater class so that I have something to work on in class. I'm spending a lot of time choosing music to learn over this semester, so I've got some points to make. I'm really trying to stretch myself so don't be afraid to choose something that may be a little higher than usual.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. Song from an obscure musical
2. Up-tempo

... and it doesn't have to be from the past 25 years, but that's what I would prefer. It's been harder for people to help me find things if I limit to recent musicals, but I would like to sing something that suits my voice.

Does anyone know any songs that I could sing from:

Chess
Bright Lights, Big City
Nine
Kiss of the Spiderwoman

Don't limit yourselves to those scores, but I was just wondering if there are any hidden treasures in those scores.

I would appreciate any suggestions!!

Alexa is a terrible person. She should be shot in the face, tarred and feathered, and subsequently hung.

Here it is, boys! Here it is, girls! The New York Times review of the revival of The Pajama Game. I know all you Company folk are simply dying to see it.

Dress Are Fine, But Pajamas Are DivineCollapse )

There's also a video clip of the show on the site. I have yet to watch it as my roommate is currently watching a movie and I don't want to interrupt.
